One of the many cool things about Houston, Texas is how many cool murals we have popping up all the time. Any one of the makes for a perfect spot to get a good shot for the ‘gram! Here are some of my favorites:
Eleanor Tinsley Park
Address: 3600 Allen Pkwy, Houston, TX 77019
With downtown’s skyline as its back drop, Eleanor Tinsley Park is the perfect spot to get that epic Houston photo for your instagram. It’s also a great spot to bring a blanket and have a picnic or even fly a kite. You never have to worry about having too many people around because the park is really large and you have views of the skyline from all different spots in the park.
Winter Street Studios
Address: 2101 Winter St, Houston, TX 77007
Once a furniture factory, Winter Street Studios is now the home of 77 art studios. And for those trying to get that perfect insta-worthy shot, there are tons of murals on the outside of the building. One of my personal favorites being the pastel square blocks.
Smile – McKinney Street Murals
Address: 1301 McKinney St, Houston, TX 77010
Truck Yard Houston
Address: 2118 Lamar St, Houston, TX 77003
Great spot to grab a drink after all your hard work scouting for photos. This place has the cutest decor of car parts and vintage signs and couches and even a mini ferris wheel, what more can you ask for?
Bebidas Houston
Address: 2606 Edloe St, Houston, TX 77027
This cute little restaurant/ cafe offers fresh juices, snow cones, coffee, baked goods & light fare with a spacious patio. What used to be a drive through window is now probably one of the most popular Instagram spots in Houston… and for good reason! These neon striped are so fun and colorful.
Emerson Rose Montrose
Address: 1637 Westheimer Rd, Houston, TX 77006
Think pink! Everyone loves a good pink wall right? I found this wall by mistake when I went to shop at Emerson Rose and knew I had to include it in my most instagrammable guide. Street parking can be tricky so just park in one of the parking lots around it.
Biscuit Paint Wall
Right down the road you’ll find the famous biscuit paint wall. Plenty of parking and the wall is huuuge! Great for filming or ig you want to get a nice wide angle shot. Even in full sun (see below) it still makes for a great photo!
Houston Graffiti Park
Address: 2102 Leeland St, Houston, TX 77003
Last but not least, the MOST instagrammable spot in all of Houston, the Graffiti Park. Bring 10 outfits and you’ve got content for a month. Do yourself a favor and put this address into google street view to see just how many murals are in these few blocks of town. Something for every mood I assure you! Lot’s of parking, lots of people, just a really cool spot right next to downtown.
